More Than Enough
I look at that dress and with a smile, I pass on...
That house is beautiful, says my heart…
My mind harshly replies, be content with what you have!
You don’t need all that luxury,
What you have is more than enough!
Whiles in the car, I blurt out…
‘I am very content with what I have’...
Are you sure that’s all there is to gain? My heart murmurs...
What you have is more than enough! says my mind.
I look through the window and see the cute little girl
Feeding her dog with much gladness
Behind her, a beautiful woman smiles
She’s wrapped in the loving arms of a man who looks adorably at her
I don’t need all that! I blurt out…
Then why do you smile? my heart says
That was when I realized…
I wanted more than I have!
I just couldn’t admit it.
I hope my heart leads one day…
Till I get to the place…
Where my heart leaps with gladness…
And shouts out…
You have more than enough!
