More Than a Lover

I had to write all this in a letter
Because my heart couldn’t see you cry
You say I’m not man enough to tell it face to face
But I’ve got my reasons why
I can’t see the tears in your eyes
But I can’t keep it going like this
I’m sick of all the drama and lies
I’m sorry for the hurt that’s been done
Not much left to say except for our good byes
We both knew it was coming to an end
But know you were more than just a lover
You were my best friend
