More Needed
Who let the couplet run out of style,
Who wept when Zeus kept love in denial.
If only everyone realized God's are not meant to control minds.
Ancient stories of the past have truths to provide,
scriptures are suspicious through eyes of one side.
The old and New Testament, Torah, and the Koran.
Each religion has been used to justify what is wrong,
From present day terrorist, Hitler and beyond.
Opinions can mesmerize, and alter core beliefs.
I dream of a world in which no one goes hungry, while war is defeated by peace.
Western parts of the world intertwined with the Middle East.
The conflicts between us all seem to be childlike disagreements.
We all have a god we chose to believe in,
No matter the religion we live for a reason.
A sin is universal whenever one is committed.
We all have our differences, we all beg for forgiveness,
Empathy passed through ignorance and wisdom.
No one human is pefect not even Jesus.
