More Memories

When I turned sixteen
My parents threw a party
One hundred friends surprised me
Took ten of them to give me sixteen bumps
The bonfire roared brightly and loud
Could never asked for a better event
Got a car for my birthday
Drank so much I could not drive it
I am a lucky one to be able to say no
Will never drink and drive
Lost to many friends in my life
We party all so long
I run through the night
I run into a fence
And hear the creak of the wire
It snaps me back right to the ground
I get right back up laughing
Holes in my clothes where barbs poked through
I was laughing so hard my girlfriend hit the fence too
She also was laughing so hard it hurt
Was a long time ago a so far away
It is a memory that has not faded
Must come back to the present to make more memories
