More Guns On the Street

So, let us have guns and more guns in the USA
Pistols, shotguns, rifles, and AK-15s galore, I say,
Let those peace-loving pinkos scream and howl
I will blow their heads off if they get in my way.

Let’s go back to the good old days out west
Where shoot-outs in the street worked out best,
Every dude carrying a six-shooter gun in his belt
Where justice was prompt with a shot to the chest.

Let’s teach our children how to play with a gun
So they can have he-man, sportsman type fun,
Never worry about accidentally pulling the trigger
After the shots are fired they can take off and run.

I say we need more guns out there on the street
In case two people of opposing views meet
To settle their differences right then and there,
Someone lying in a pool of blood is such a treat.

Very good! terrific write!! US is so lost in guns, I do not see how it can ever get out of it! May be the rest of the world should stop tourism till the govt. pulls all guns of the streets!

Krish, believe me, your thoughts and ideas are well-taken, but they aren't likely to come about in this country, where guns not only are signs of manliness, they are revered in hunting country like the Appalachians. We're even desensitizing our youngsters to killing by allowing inane video games!

LOL! Awesome write...I'd like a set of pistols with the colors of the rainbow to shoot anyone who gets on my nerves and also so I can color coordinate with my daily outfits...red will be manic Monday's color and beware anyone who says the B word in my presence (male or female) - they will be getting a literal B word fired at them with a silencer ... I'll save my other peeves for the rest of the week lol :)

Thanks, GW. I didn't know how to approach this contest until this came into my mind this afternoon.

Hmm, do I detect just the merest hint of ironic cynicism, there Milt? Great approach to the contest. Terry

You do, Indeed, Terry. I couldn't figure out what to do in this contest and then this idea popped into my head. Hope it works!

Thanks so much, Ilene. I could not care less about the contest, in this case. I just wanted to make a point and using satire and sarcasm was the only way I could figure out how to do it. Thanks, again.
