Moorland

Winter’s dusk forlorn on the moor has found me.

Sky has cried its tears; now I soak in stillness.

All at once, I hear in the gloaming - bird song

flooding the wasteland!

Just when we think we are all alone, nature reminds us of its presence. Love "winter's dusk" - such a vivid picture in two words that put us right into the scene. Congratulations on your win Andrea.

Beautiful, Andrea, as a foundling immersed in nature where the shallows, distinctions overwhelm, my compliments my friend, Aloha!

Andrea this is done masterfully--it flows so beautifully--which is not a simple task in any form but especially difficult in this one! BRAVO!

The effort was worth it Andrea - I noticed you helped others with their meter, that is a true poet friend. Too many don't even look or try. Bravo to you!

I love the combination of torrent of rain and the bird's song flooding the moors, Andrea. Dusk and gloaming contribute to a bleak, eerie feeling of wilderness. The topic appeals to my imagination! Regards // paul
