Moonlit Thoughts & Shades of Blue
Journeying through the night
Quietly examining this fragile heart
Trying not to think about the past
Resisting the urge to scream
Walking in moonlit shades of blue
Sorting things out, thinking things through
Silently rummaging through memories spent
Lost in the transit of life & it's opposite
Wondering where I'm going
Who I'll meet along the way
Maybe wandering is the way to be
Star-gazing as the world fades away
Clinching my fists
Lest I relinquish this fire
Burning in my soul
Journeying through the night
Wandering through moonlit shades of blue.
