Moonlit Silhouettes

*~*~*~*~*~ We danced on the silver-mooned balcony. How perfect for our wedding anniversary! The band music enclosed us like a seashell. We were just silhouettes in black, dressed like swells. Kissing, remembering the sweet call of our vows. Your voice, soft as the sound as a leaf in a Spring tree bough. Our hands may be wrinkled, our hair may be gray. But how wonderful to know, our love is here to stay!            January 23, 2020               1:15pm PST

Ah, Joe, my friend!as I commented to the others, some of my Poems are sp very precious to me, as is this one. I am exuberant that you caught the emotion in the poem. And most deeply grateful you commented on this simple, humble poem. All three of you made my day. I do mean that. Panagiota xxx

I think we may appreciate romance more as we get older, Panagiota. I love the image of you and your hubby dancing beneath the moon on your balcony. A sweet and uplifting poem! Best wishes, Carolyn

Carolyn, I think you are right in evaluating love as you did. My hubby and I never made it to fifty years. He Passed away before that. But in my heart he is still here, I never remarried, Carolyn, though I had chances to do so.I hold the same image you do...Perhaps love is eternal, after all, eh? Thank you, Caroyn Panagiota xx
