Moonlight Exposure
I sit in my room.
Watching the wind.
My mind ponders the life I was given.
The thought of death chills me to the core
And yet I think of it.
For Death is a painful truth
While Life is a beautiful lie.
But I think of the Moon rising up in the sky.
Her beauty graces me.
Her light kisses my skin.
My heart beats
a little bit louder in Her presence.
I glow, glow so brightly that it’s as if
I am Her star.
I listen to Her voice,
Her song,
She creates freedom at my feet.
I open my window and I feel myself climbing the tree.
I long to get a closer glimpse of you.
Just one.
She makes me feel as if this is all worth it.
All this pain and darkness.
If I can stand in Her light
With Her forever more
My Moon, My true Love
