Moonbeams Love Song

Moonbeam's Love Song

Moonlight waifs into the shrouded garden
shimmering on the still, quiet pond
A bench built near the lily pad offerings
a restful place for love’s spirits to bond

A white dress glows among the shadows
soft now against the graying light
as greens dissipate as if in mourning
escaping from the specters of the night

Back set against the softening tree’s bark
arrested in the melody of moonbeams song
drifting away to another time and place
where love’s inner essence is never alone

Well hello Debra. :) This is a lovely sonata of evenings grace. Thanks for visiting all my poems. It's always such a pleasant surprise when you finally come by again. Sorry to hear your trouble with your foot. I hope everything gets back to health. Hope to read another soon. Your poet friend Bob.
