Moon Watch

All that she sees around her is still,
On a very starry night;
But the storm that's ragging inside
Blinds her to the light.

She sits alone in a very dark room,
And from her back window,
She stares at the moon.

Tears begin to fall upon her emotional wounds,
And she prays that the pain would pass very soon.

The love of her life has divorced
And caused her to cry.
She's often calmed by the stars
That light up the sky.

She knows that this stormy season will pass;
That her joy will come next morning;
That her weeping will not last.

But for now, the moisture in her eyes
Shades her view.
She's comforted, knowing that someday,
All things will be made new.
