Moon Waltz

We waltz~
'neath August moon
with the fruity fig trees
that synchronously sway with us.

The mystique moon~
in its crescent phase
a smiling sparkle in the sky
as we dance through the night.

Your hands~
holding mine
are like pillars
of pious promises~
to have and to hold.

Your eyes~
that exude stardust
in the dimly luminous light
of empyrean aura
lead me~
to a road of no return.

The midnight dance with the moon above. Hand in hand, safety net released and love is blooming for the dancing moon. Outstanding poetry shared. You make me want to write. A amazing poem.

Puts me in mind of a madly frantic waltz that has no end...two lovers condemned to dance together forever. Should that be a curse or a blessing? You have imparted an almost fairytale sense of dark, magical intrigue here...certainly dramatic. It is if the dancers have one chance, and one chance only, of breaking the powerful spell...and if they fail? Well, the consequences too dire to contemplate. Powerful stuff, J.C, intended or not. Will visit again soon. All my very best wishes! :) john
