Moon Song

I told the moon my secrets,
I confessed to her my fears.
My heart and soul exposed,
in a river gleam of tears.

I cannot fathom those men,
The ones who harm and kill.
So many victims no one saved.
Those who’s blood they spill.

I’m so afraid of everything,
What if it all goes wrong ?
The future is oh so unsure.
I may not be here long.

I hide away inside my head,
That special place with you.
My dreams, they feel so far away,
What if they don’t come true?
