Moon on a Spoon

If I only could, I would fetch you the moon on a spoon, Or croon you a tune at noon on a cool day in June. Your heart a balloon that would lift at the gift of my love. Soon you would swoon and then soar like dove far above. “Nonsense!” you say as you gaze in amazement at me. “I have no need to be freed by a man such as thee!” But give me a chance and we’ll dance in a newborn romance! Consider this moon on a spoon as just an advance…
