Moon Inspiration

                            So, man 
                     in the moon, if your
              story be told, your birth was
          cataclysmically bold.You were
          created by your mother, Theia,
             from earth debris and dust.           
                Her impact left her rem-  
                    nants beneath our
                         earthly crust.

                            Your
                      pull on the
                  earth does more
             than rule the tides; This
            relationship affects man
                deeply inside. Deprav-
                    ity and reckless-
                     ness, a lunatic 
                         you claim.
            
                              Then
                        you may
                 conceal your
                mottled face
              with regard to
            time and place,
              when a cloud
                   becomes a
                          shroud.

                            We know
                        your
                    phases
                  just the
                  same.
                  Inspir-
                   ation
                       be
                            thy name.

It was my first try, so I was inclined not to post it. In composing these I was reminded of putting a puzzle together. I love a challenge.
