Moon Dream
How many moons have passed me by?
Waxing, waning and wandering
Marking nights like a silent clock,
Passing timepiece over the sky!
I slumbered in oblivion,
From everything, not just the night.
Content I wandered in my dreams,
Explored mystic halls and chambers,
In them I greeted Kings and Queens,
I privy to all their favours.
I dreamed of love and lust and more,
Every conceivable flavour.
Comprehendible equations,
And fearless daring behaviour!
Alas eventually I wake,
And count the waxing Moons once more,
A concrete world where risks I take,
No longer dreaming as before.
