Moon

I harnessed the moon
On a whim and dare
Silk cord long and thin
Held me without care
I rode through the stars
Upon midnight hour
Betwixt clouds and fog
Drizzled rain shower
Through Capricorn and
Cancer as well
The Big Dipper
It seemed to swell
Acquarius and Gemini too
Uninterrupted
The moon and I flew
The Little Dipper so small
Accepted us
Prevented our fall
The moon and I
Connected as one
Till the Sun rose
Our ride was done

This is so cosmically pleasing and so ethereal. I absolutely love the imagery and use of various astrological signs too. And i felt the last lines the most as you’ve described how connected moon and you are. How i feel too about the moon. Brilliant and very soulful write this is. Pleasure reading your work

Kelli your poem is a beautiful and captivating piece of art. The imagery of the moon and the stars, the silk cord, and the midnight hour is so vivid and enchanting. The poem is a testament to your talent and creativity, and I’m sure it will inspire many others to explore the beauty of the night sky. My granddaughter loves it when I take her out to see the moon. - Blessings, Daniel

Thank you very much I am glad you enjoyed it. As a child my brother and I would sleep under the sky and look at the constellations, moon and a wonderful shooting star once in awhile. It is good that you share this with your grand daughter, Kelli
