monster winter blizzard

Kansas City is having a huge winter blizzard
my dogs are hibernating
sleeping deader than black bears

cold nose-chilling wind is whistling
woodland creatures are in hiding
monster storm of twenty, twenty-five

do not expect another one for a hundred years
a few newborns might see the next one
but not me, and probably not you
