Monster
Childhood innocence quickly dies
when monsters show their lying eyes.
Love doesn't play a part in this game
she is merely a pawn in his shame.
The monster devours her hot tears;
He gains a vicious strength from her fears.
The shame will last for several years.
She believes she has herself to blame.
Childhood innocence quickly dies.
She quietly covers her face and cries;
dreaming of a world with blue skies.
She recoils when he whispers her name.
She's so young with a delicate frame.
The monster is her sad demise,
Childhood innocence quickly dies.
