Monster

I'm lonely in the night

And somethings under my bed

I put the covers over my head

But this only brings the mysterious sounds closer

The monster is out from the bed now

And I am afraid to call out

And hear my mothers answer to shut up

A mothers face that only betrays an empty nest

Suckling at her breast feeds nothing

The monster has got me now

Mother where are you
