Monster
Some days I just wish it would all end
Close my eyes, not wake up again
Put an end to the pain I feel inside
No longer feel the need to run and hide
You'd be better off without me here
That's the truth, is what I fear
The horrible things you scream in my face
Remind me just how easy I am to replace
“Who am I” you spit in anger
“Don't you know your life's in danger?”
I try to hold onto tears that are flowing
The terror I feel intensely growing
You utter words of hate and disdain
Wanting me to feel only hurt and pain
My life to you I'm afraid I'll lose
How will it end, don't make me choose
The monster that creeps behind your eyes
Fills your head with bull and lies
You used to be stronger, kept him away
Now you don't care, you let him stay
I dream of the day my love will return
That tranquil bliss is all that I yearn
