Monster
In a dark and dirty corner,
Where people do not see;
Lies a dormant monster
Deep inside of me.
Silent, calm and still,
Slowly killing time,
Waiting for the moment
To comit a perfect crime.
Bubbling beneath the surface,
Not apparent to the eye,
Assessing potential victims
Who innocently pass me by.
Soundless and invisible,
I'll catch you unaware,
Thriving off your ignorance
That you do not know I'm there.
By surprise I consume you,
You're as helpless as the blind;
Imagination does no justice
To the horrors of my kind.
Stealing your morality,
So that you don't even care.
That your soul is my possesion;
Mine; not yours to share.
Beware the devil inside you,
It takes on different forms
Exploiting all our weaknesses
And engulfing us in swarms.
