Monsieur L'Vampyre - Falling In Love
Monsieur L'Vampyre - FALLING IN LOVE
What manner of a being lies in wait
deep in the flashing eyes I look into?
you'd shackle me to love, I estimate,
if I'd give in to what I see in you;
I should not get too close, or I may fall
into a state of mind I wouldn't dare,
not on a bet--or I could lose it all,
and when it's done, I wouldn't even care;
love brings appeasement to the strongest mind
and turns the heart from what it once desired,
then lays to rest, so one can never find,
the dreams of yesterday that youth had fired;
true love can bring us all to heaven's door
forgetting what, in life, we're looking for.
