Money didn't change me,it changed you

I trusted you, we laughed, we dreamed,
Shared every goal, built plans, it seemed.
But when the wind blew strong and change was near,
You turned on me, and that’s what I fear.
I got my first million, a dream come true,
And suddenly, all your eyes were on me too.
You said you’d been there, you made that claim,
But now you want money, like it’s some game.
Where were you when I had nothing to show?
Where was your love, where did it go?
Now that I’ve risen, now that I’m here,
You act like you helped, but it’s all unclear.
You want my wealth, my hard-earned cash,
But all I see is greed in a flash.
Money didn’t change me, I’m still the same,
But it’s clear it’s changed you, and you’re to blame.
You say I owe, but you never cared,
Not when I struggled, not when I was scared.
Now that I’ve made it, you’re all in my face,
But I see the truth, I know my place.
You backstabbed me, when I gave you trust,
Turned your love into dust, into rust.
I’ll never forget, I’ll never pretend,
Money didn’t change me, but it sure changed my friends.
So take your lies, your fake claims too,
I’ve learned the lesson, I’m better than you.
I’ll rise on my own, without you to blame,
You turned on me, but I’ll play the game.
