Monalisa

MONALISA I entered the room; on one Friday afternoon With no intentions, just my mere intuitions But the universe definitely had other plans Did I see it coming? Naah, not a chance Although my eyes beheld a very beautiful lady I said to myself, “Forget it mate, you’re not even ready” Oh no! it was already too late She already said ‘hi’ who am I to hesitate It wasn’t too long I realized All I wanted in a friend had materialized With her beautiful voice, she said to me Words that in my mind have now come to be “I want to be your sweetest hello and your hardest goodbye” Those were the sweetest words I’ve heard that wasn’t a lie I had to pinch myself, maybe I was on a pill No, this was no drug, it was goddamm real She said her name was Mona Lisa Not the painting, this was way way deeper Da Vinci couldn’t have created this This was way beyond his artistic bliss I thank God for that blessed noon When I found a jewel most people won’t find on the moon
