Notes About The Poem

Mona Lisa

I hear every word you say to me,
Every word from in your mind,
I hear, loud and clear, your beautiful voice,
Coming from deep inside,

Whenever you smile your peculiar smile,
From soft to quick to odd,
Your uneven lips, with conflicting emotions,
Hidden behind a quick nod,

And people from all around the world,
They never see you for you,
They admire the ratio of your beautiful face,
Your face Leonardo himself drew,

But I can hear the words that you say,
Your words that’ll never grow old,
I can hear your words Mona Lisa,
When you speak to my heart and my soul.

Lovely, Lewis. Beautiful rhythm. I love the scenario.
