"Mommy, why do people get tears?"

I see you sitting with your dove,
with imaginary strings tying you together.
You wanna dance with your honey in every weather,
while behind you, I walk down those curves,
thinking about all those scenes I played in my nights,
with a silly smile, giggling, and butterflies.

I had pictured the dream angel to share my bed with.
I talked so much from your side,
knowing it's all a myth.

With a spark in those eyes, you said,
"I wanna hug him so tight."
You told me how beautiful your unbroken bond is.
His favorite candle you light to feel him every night.
Yet I stand without any flinch,
with limbs cold, brain numb, water soaking these eyes,
while I try to convince my heart it's something I had seen for miles.

My head nods, and a smile appears.
I look down; my diary had drops of tears.
"You both are so perfect for each other," then I disappear.

My heart pounding fast,
every word still lasts.
Isn't it cruel?
What about my part? I hate these universe rules.

But he ain't faulty either. How can I hate the person who kept my sunshine happy?
Her hair, those eyes—every atom speaks her feelings.
Maybe that's what cosmic power decided,
and that's what's best for our lives.
