Mommy
Mommy gave Joey a new toy, (saying)
'Play nicely and share with the boys'
But Joey was selfish, he didn't share
His friends went home; Joey didn't play fair
Mom talked to Joey - in her voice, only love
But Joey wasn't the 'peacefulest dove'
Once again, he kept the toy all for himself
So Mom took it away, put it high on the shelf
Joey moaned and he cried, and then wept some more
First Mommy counted the minutes, then she couldn't keep score
He said, 'Mommy, you're mean, and I really hate you'
'You don't hear my cries; you and I are now through...'
Well, time went by, and Joey repented
And wonder of wonders, 'Bad Mommy' relented
Joey got his toy back, and this time he shared ~
Which shows you what a Mommy can do when she cares
