Moments Unblessed

Be in the moment the ancient one chants.
be in the moment
be in the moment
don't peer ahead
and never look back.
be in the moment
be in the moment
the ancient one chants.

but what if that moment
is dipped in thick black
a blackness so deep
where devils
eclipses and pinch away
at your peace.

be in the moment
be in the moment
the ancient one chants
what if the moment is filled with hunger and death.
be in the moment
be in the moment
the ancient one chants
what if the moment is starless
filled with blindness and emptiness.
be in the moment
be in the moment
the ancient one chants.

What if the moment is charred
there are no flowers in the garden
blueness chases warmth into the wishing well
into moments unblessed
What then.
