Moments

A single moment has the power to change your life forever, to completely mold it to better suit its needs.
One moment, you're camping with your friends. The next, you're rescuing a dog trapped in a car. It was there when you got there, and still there 3 days later when you left. So you call animal services, and pretend to be a hero for a few hours after you leave,
just to be slapped in the face by the moment they call you telling you they found a human corpse in the car with it.
Now you're not a hero.
Now you're a suspect.
Your thoughts race.
Did I touch the vehicle?
When did they die?
How did they die?
Was I in danger?
..am I in danger?
