Moments
I walked out front
Then outside the other night
Looking to the moon
Then to the stars so bright
I trudged down the road
Down to lake
Where only the bats and bugs
Seemed to be awake
The wind blew smoothly
A calm gentle breeze
Nothing else matter
The world was at ease
It was not cold
The weather was the best
But it wasn’t so warm
That the bugs would be a pest
So I sat down by the edge
Gazing down below me
I watched my blurry reflection
As it became hard to see
The few moments were treasure
The calm and quiet night
Not a thing could go wrong
Not a thing would cause fright
When I went home that night
In my bed I lay
I decided then
I’d go back the next day
