Moments

A moment is born
on the wings of the wind,
a gift of the ages
never to be wasted,
never to be cursed.
The moments of our lives--
a baby's first breath,
two lovers passionate kiss,
a long tearful goodbye,
the last gasp of air...
enter and exit through
laughter, love, and sorrow.
All of our moments make up a life--
a journey carried on by those
invisible, wonderful wings throughout
our short visit on this Earth...
a moment, here and then gone.
