Moment Before Sleep

"That moment before sleep,
Provides a window of what we seek

For its the last thought,
Before dreams are begot

Depending what we are feeling,
Be it love or in need of healing

It becomes the nursery of our dreams,
That through the night will stream

Good or bad,
Happy or sad

Moments from today,
Blended every way

Into disjointed metaphors,
Some which shake us to our core

But for good ones we dream,
God has his hand in what seems

His love for us,
So in whom we trust

For no matter how I am feeling,
God is still believing

In me."
