Mom

Mom By R.e. Taylor Mom I have missed you for so long You left before I was grown Before I had the chance to learn from you To ask you the questions I needed to ask I know that it was not your fault You would have never left us on your own I guess God needed you more than we did But still I miss you and I still dream of you I am here looking at all of the candles people have lit For their friends or relatives And I take a match a light one of my own just for you The flame will not be a memorial for you Mom, it is a light to show you the way back Back to the son you nearly lost sixty years ago And to the heart and mind where you have always lived © 2017 Shadowlight Publishing
