Mom

I didn't want to believe it,
but I had no choice.
I couldn't stop it.
Mom,
I miss you.
What will life be like
without you?
It's going to be different.
Not being able to talk to you,
and hear your voice say
I love you,
to see you.
It's hard,
getting harder
by the minute.
Next week is Mother's Day.
I meant to say it.
I meant to say,
Happy Mother's Day.
But,
I said it too late.
