Notes About The Poem

Molly Bear

I brought my chow dog Molly Bear to work every day,
Since I owned the business, I had some leeway.
She stayed in my office and guarded the door,
And was a presence the employees could not ignore.

To keep her inside I put up a small gate,
And no one would enter in fear of their fate.
She was friendly to all when she was free,
But behind the gate, she was no sweet pea!
