Modern Pogam

We cowardly or nonchalantly sit in front our TV Watching for years: the killings of babies The odious humiliation of humanity The bloody murders of pregnant ladies The iniquitous insults of innocent civilians The deactivation of so many ingenious poems And the devastation of hope for so many Yet, a few meshuggah pundits have the audacity And the nerves to censor good Samaritans And great citizens who fearlessly expose lies And the ugliness of needlessly evil wars Conscientious humans must decry the specious theorems The horrific atrocity can only be described as ‘Modern Pogam’ It can also be described as ‘Hell’ in the program Some people have no compassion, no human ties To God’s children. Now, we all bear the sad scars How many more must suffer and die so violently? Cease fire is not enough. We want peace and justice We want special or impartial courts or tribunals to publish The lists, where all convicted perpetrators are severely punished Poets are inspired to tell it like is The truth always comes out with great ease Babies cannot be guilty of any crime Babies cannot steal land, dollar, nickel and dime.
