Mjq

I'm listening to Itzak Perlman
Together with the Modern Jazz Quartet
They perform Summertime

Perlman's violin has the tune
MJQ got the perfect rhythm

-----------------------------------------------

Gerade höre ich Itzhak Perlman
Mit dem Modern Jazz Quartet
Sie spielen Summertime

Perlmans Geige gibt die Melodie
Das Modern Jazz Quartet den Rhythmus

Just stopped by again to let you know Red Tide is a seasonal thing in Florida. It always occurs around the Fourth of July, but it's not nearly as threatening as the oil spill. It still hasn't been contained and we now hear BP has given false projections on the amount of oil that continues to leak. It's 20 times higher than what the company reported and now the spill is greater than the Exxon Valdez incident. Thans for your comments, Gert. Love, Carolyn

All these happenings excite me as I anticipate the coming of summer, Gert!! Beautiful imagery...I love all music, but jazz and summer go extremely well together!!! Love, Audrey

One of my favorite tunes -- Summertime has a lazy, wistful feel to its melody. Wish I could hear the MJQ perform it. Danka for the Tanka, Gert, and the German lesson as well. Love, Carolyn
