Notes About The Poem

Image result for Is it possible for a canna lily and a rose to mix and become a new plant

Mixed

The running bramble so wild and free
Could not set down roots you see
Cannon Lily a stable sort
Clung to her place in the port

Running bramble reached down to touch
Cannon Lily blossoms reached up high
Desire for love and sweet kisses
A new species on earth would survive

Cannon Lily wanted to stay put
Running bramble was on the go
Never one to be contained for long
Lily's heart was torn apart so

Lily decided to follow him afar
Torn between kin and stable life
Bramble traveled across the plain
Following the sound of the fife

Off springs some like mother Lily
Some like their non-contained dad
Planted across the country
Lily's heart broken from loss so sad

Just for fun!!! Something wild..
A sort of rhyme..LOL

WoW! I guess you could read a lot into this. To me it sounds like two young lovers torn apart by different callings. She is a home body who wants to put down roots and he is a vagabond who wants to see what's behind the next hill. In the end he is gone and she is heart broken. Beautiful write. God Bless and a seven from me. JB

Yes, one can go anyway that they want with this one..Many young ladies or men are hurt by mating up with someone so very different and unwilling to change..Thanks for dropping by..Sara
