Mittens Bound
Can a master potter make fashionable pots?
Can a carpenter carve any unique design?
Could Yayoi Kusama, the princess of polka dots,
Make art-works, with mittens on, amazingly fine...?
Fingers should be free, as one with the mind and heart.
Both physique and psyche should be in hand and glove.
No master craftsman could ever produce an art,
Tied within mitten, though gifts given from above...!
Mittens block babies' growth, neonatologists say,
Moving fingers freely is a child's inborn need.
Fingers ever in mittens soon their prices pay,
Like lovebirds caged that finally for freedom plead...!
Yet, do kittens that delight in masters’ fresh cheese,
Please to freeze, sneeze, and breathe to cease in the cold breeze...???
