Mistakes

Memory, the boundary that still repeats
like deafening juries, begging for replete.
So trapped with trapping, filing incomplete -
remember me, not sad, but loving sweet!

As I remember thee, that prince conduit,
a charge that voltage fondly, I did meet,
and timing's wonder, given to discreet,
a searching's thunder, winsome sounding beat.

That fear asunder, taking up my feet
away, that I mistake not thy own street.
Thy entity, thy worth's selfless entreat,
as to another, I might want defeat!

Do weigh my faith, restrictive and not brave,
forgiveness is the altar's real slave,
and yet the vestige, yet the whole enclave -
Mistakes not blunder, trust like truth, not rave.

But learning's risk, my faultful heart's own save ...
mistakes encumber, under Thy soul's knave!
