Mistake
You said forever
Over and over
You said I love you
Over and over
It seems like forever has an end
It seems like I love you didn’t mean a thing
I could cry
I could beat myself up till there’s nothing left
But you don’t deserve my tears
You don’t deserve to have the satisfaction of breaking my heart
You gave me every reason to believe I found the one
But somehow all your love slowly faded away and fell apart
It was all a lie
I was under your spell, meant to see an illusion set in front of me
I gave you everything
And you never really cared
You’re leaving me just when I thought you were mine
But I might be holding on too tight
Don’t you forget what we had
Even though you were never really there
You’ll look back one day
And that day you will realize, “I made a mistake”
