Missive To Soupers

What did you do in my absence Did you still write nonsense on a page And left it as if it was delicious plate My greed would devour to read What do you feel when you write Except your own invisibleness of being Does it anger you Are you provoked to inexpressible love And do you dissolve youurself in the emotion of words Or are you too afraid to die A poem must be written with your life And after it You cannoot be found again, for love consumes Everything it breathes upon I have not existed for years Not since I was just before thirteen All they knew of me from then was what I said And there is this storm in my head I still cannot shake it out But you who mess the clean paper up with words That drizzle your emotion all over the page Shall not understand the serpent in the cage.
