Missing your touch

I remember when
you touched me
when our love was fresh and new
the way your eyes gazed
into my everlasting soul
when words came out of nowhere
put into poetry form
before the leaf scattered
and the wind tore us apart
I stand beneath a gunmetal sky
pulling words out of nowhere
forming my own poetry
kneeling before you
on top of you
whatever way the casket lays
I yearn to hear your voice once more
and long for your touch again

as rain drops begin to fall
tears from heaven

a silent kiss
another touch
