Missing You Again Today
I miss you again today
one week until vacation
and you've been working 20 hour days
and traveling most of 3 weeks
I don't even have that spark of
vacation anticipation
with a crisis every day and no money to spare
yet today my heart beat a little faster
at the thought of stealing away with you
alone with you
just to sit in the sand
and stare at the waves
holding hands
two middle aged lovers
not letting go
