So many the days
so long now the time
so distant the memories
of your hand in mine
So long ago the nights
near forgotten the dreams
a lifetime gone by
now it all seems
So sorrowed my heart
now alone in this place
lost in the longing
for your sweet embrace
longing to see
that smile on your face
