Missing Pieces of Heart
Dear, you left me in haste,
and you forgot your soul here.
Your presence lingers in the air,
your kisses, once so sweet,
still haunt me in my sleep.
The half empty scotch bottles on the balcony table,
the incomplete music notes still waiting to be played,
all reminders of the life we shared.
The scattered poems you could not complete
now sing in my solitude,
reminding me of what we once had.
Come back sometime and take them with you,
for they hold memories of a time gone by.
And as I sit here alone,
my heart still broken,
missing pieces that may have gone with you,
I pray you will return them to me.
For without them, I am incomplete,
a shadow of the person I used to be.
Dear, please come back to me,
and bring with you the missing pieces of my heart.
