Missing Her

She's a mystery to all and I can't seem to recall
The moment our lips first kissed…
But since that time she was destined to be mine
And in my heart she'll always be missed…
I never understood her struggle with the things she juggled
Cause it all never mattered to me…
When I look in her eyes I see beneath the disguise
She wanted the whole world to see…
I saw a scared little girl who was afraid of this world
Because life had been so distraught…
That she hid behind fears and slept with the tears
Of the lessons in life she was taught…
So again on this day it's I who pray
Please God keep her safe in Your touch…
And I'll bear her cross for as long as she's lost
I guess I do love her that much

Very very smooth...I love the rhythm in both pieces that I've read thus far. Sounds as if you're a performer (spoken word).
