Missing

I miss my childhood.
      Innocent, loved and carefree.
Before you three were with me.
Now I miss you more.
Since your own childhood has passed.
               I'm old and alone, alas.

I've been contemplating what the expected 'turn' in the 3rd and 6th line of sedoka might look like. Now, I see it in your poem--done very well!

Thank you Anne-Lise. Another surprise arrived in the post this morning. A card from my middle child Cora. On the outside is printed ON YOUR BIRTHDAY, LET'S CELEBRATE WITH A GOOD OLD KNEES UP.....BECAUSE WE CAN CAN! You gotta laugh...

No notion on any of them yet Tim. On the bright side, my baby will be flying home from New York on August 28th. Just off the phone to her. My sweet thing has ordered flowers for my birthday on the 12th. I am blessed.
