Missing

Your lifeless eyes
They don’t hold the same desires anymore
Your heart is stone
It refuses to beat like it did before
Isn’t something missing?

So long I’ve wondered, but now I know
I’ve got to let you go
I’ve got to find another way
Please, please forgive me
But I won’t be home again

Soon I know
I’ll wake from this dream
I’ve been believing in something so distant
And I’ve been denying this feeling
Isn’t something missing?

Run, run, run away
I know you’re still there
I can feel you pull me down
I’ll be hiding safe inside your thoughts
Come find me
But you’ll wake to know the truth, no one’s there

I’m leaving here tonight
There’s no need to tell anyone
I’m halfway to anywhere but here
Haven’t you wanted to be free?
But isn’t something missing?
